1. Forgot Chill Password
If you forget your Chill password, follow these steps to recover it:
- (1) Open the Chill login screen and click "Can’t log in" or "Forgot Password".
- (2) Enter your registered email as prompted.
- (3) Complete identity verification (e.g., email verification code).
- (4) Reset your password and log in after verification.
2. Compromised Chill Account
If your Chill account is hacked:
- (1) Immediately change your password to a strong, unique one.
- (2) Update security details for other linked accounts (email, social media, etc.).
3. Unable to Log In to Chill
Possible causes and solutions:
- (1) Network issues: Check your connection. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- (2) Account issues: Confirm your account isn’t banned or your password is correct. Reset your password if needed.
- (3) App version: Update Chill to the latest version. Reinstall the app (back up chats first).
4. Delete Chill Account
To delete your account:
- (1) Go to My → Settings (gear icon) → Security → Delete Account.
- Note: A 30-day grace period applies. Logging in within 30 days cancels deletion.
5. Post an Update
- (1) Open Chill, tap the "+" on the Home page.
- (2) Select a channel/tag, add text/images/videos/GIFs, then tap "Post".
6. Follow an Author
- (1) Open the author’s post details page.
- (2) Tap the "Follow" button at the top.
7. Comment or Like a Post
- (1) Open the post details page.
- (2) Tap the input box to add text/media for comments.
- (3) Tap the thumbs-up icon to like the post.
- (4) Reply to comments by tapping the comment icon below them.
8. Join a Fan Group
- (1) After following someone, their existing fan groups will appear. Tap to request access.
- (2) Tap the fan group icon next to the "Followed" button.
9. Post Visibility Settings
Chill is a fully open community. Avoid posting private content.
10. Hide Updates from a User
- (1) Go to the user’s profile page.
- (2) Tap the three dots (⋮) → "Block the Author".
11. Restore Deleted Chat History
(1) Chill does not currently offer an official chat history recovery feature.
12. Mute Someone Without Unfriending
- (1) Open the chat with the user.
- (2) Tap the three dots (⋮) → Chat Info → "Mute Notifications".
13. Failed to Send/Receive Messages
Possible solutions:
- (1) Network issues: Switch networks or reset connectivity.
- (2) Account settings: Check for restrictions (e.g., airplane mode or blocked messages).
- (3) Recipient’s account: Confirm the other user’s account status.
14. Register & Log In
- (1) Register: Download Chill from your app store. Enter your phone number, verify via SMS, and set a password.
- (2) Log In: Use your phone number/password or scan a QR code from a logged-in device.
15. Add Friends
- (1) Scan QR Code: Tap "Scan" in the top-left menu to add a friend.
- (2) Profile Page: Follow the user, then tap the message icon on their profile to send a friend request.
16. Send Messages
- (1) Text: Type in the chat box and tap "Send".
- (2) Voice: Hold the microphone icon to record, or use voice-to-text.
- (3) Stickers: Tap "+" → Stickers to send or download more.
